Based on knowledge management, cognition and learning theories we have designed the
system with the aim of increasing the knowledge of its members.
How this is implemented can be divided into 3 main areas; resources, interaction and socialization.
Resources
The resources are what you as the user retrieves in the form of external or explicit knowledge.
These resources can be searched, browsed and filtered and viewed in many different ways both manually and as open API's
for consumption by other external systems. Typical resources are:
- Bookmarks: Learn by reading online articles, documents, blog posts, news etc.
- Book: View book collections of your friends so you can borrow or swap books for you to read and learn.
- Video: If you have your TV connected to a computer you can learn from your sofa.
- Audio: Download to a MP3 player etc. Learn while driving to work or while out jogging.
- Event: Events are conferences, seminars etc where you can attend and learn.
- Person: Interact with others to learn.
Interaction
fuzzzy let users interact with the system by adding new resources, voting and commenting on resources.
As members comment or discuss resources greater understanding can be accomplished.
Another central part of the system is the semantic network engine.
Members learn by connecting resources together by tags and by creating other semantic relations between objects.
This helps to visualize relations between objects and thus to communicate and help learners in the
process of making sense of stuff. This system interaction supports members in the learning process
and when members are further supported in interacting with physical objects such as books and real word places, events and persons
the potential of further growth towards higher knowledge is boundless.
Socialization
We believe social interaction and social networking is one of the most effective forms of learning.
In fuzzzy you will find many different ways of finding likeminded people, finding who knows what, managing your friends and other groups.
