Also known as: Social Semantic Web, Socio-Semantic web, S2W.

First coined by Jean-Pierre Cahier and Manuel Zacklad in relation with Knowledge-Based MarketPlaces and Communities of Action around 2004. Wider recognition after Peter Morville's book Ambient Findability. Sociosemantic web is about generating metadata bottom up, by the users, for the users and the semantic web. w2s focuses on users generating ontologies instead of automated inferences processing etc.
